Foundation History

After the loss of 343 firefighters in the tragic events of 9/11, The Firehouse Brewing Company was founded by several San Diego third generation firefighters. In the week following 9/11 the firefighters participated in “Fill the Boot” in an attempt to raise funds for various foundations. This became a source of inspiration for the firefighters.

They responded by deciding to open a brewery in which proceeds would help support similar events.
A portion of The Firehouse proceeds go to firefighter widow and orphan funds, assisting the families of Firefighters who have died or been seriously injured in the line of duty. An additional percentage goes to local fire departments to help buy safety equipment.

Each beer helps support the cause!
