Firehouse teams up with semi-professional soccer team San Diego Pumitas

SAN DIEGO, CA (05.02.2007) --The Firehouse Brewing Company has recently ventured outside of its realm to take the opportunity to help push and promote the importance of staying active through sport in the San Diego soccer community. In the absence of a professional MLS or even A-League soccer team here in San Diego, a local third division semi professional soccer team has arisen in hopes of filling that void here in our home city. Doing our part as now an official sponsor of The San Diego Pumitas soccer club, we hope to help build awareness and excitement for an aspiring San Diego professional soccer team.

The San Diego Pumitas are now entering their third season in the Southwest Division of the National Premier Soccer League. Coming out of their best season last year-finishing third in their division and winning national tournaments-they hope to out do their previous season by claiming this year’s title. Help support your San Diego professional soccer team and their hopes of moving up into the A-League merely one step away from Major League Soccer.

You can catch San Diego Pumitas home games at Balboa Stadium right off of the 5 freeway. Even if you are not a fan of soccer come out to enjoy the fun! This season prior to games you can enjoy food, drinks, and music right outside the stadium.
