Firehouse Foundation
After the loss of 343 firefighters in the tragic events of 9/11, The Firehouse Brewing Company was founded by third generation San Diego firefighters. In the week following 9/11 the firefighters participated in "fill the boot" and together with the community donated $1.5 million to the families of 9/11 that lost their loved ones.
This became a source of inspiration for the firefighters and they responded by opening a brewery where proceeds would help support similar causes.
An annual concert is held each September to honor the heroes and remember our past. Save the date for this years concert - September 11th, 2010!
